“GRABLI” HALLOWE’EN IN TULSKAYA

Hallowe’en has been celebrated for more than 3000 years made by the Celts, a warlike people inhabiting areas in Ireland, England, Scotland and France.
Since before pre-Christian time tribes liked to frighten each other. At that time people didn’t devide a year into quarters, months, weeks and days. There were summer and winter. Precisely on October, 31 was the end of the season and the beginning of winter.

Ancient peoples believed that overnight into November, 1 gates to the world of the dead was opened and the boundary between two worlds was called Samhain.
In order not to fall into the hell the Celts had to dress like demons so as inmates of the world of dead couldn’t take them with themselves. The more frightful was the dress the less was opportunity of falling into the hell.

19:00 Grabli Hallowe’en took place in Tulskiy restaurant : gig of the group “Diskoteka Babaria” which played the role of a group of ghasts “Vurdalaki” during the holiday, mim vampires and a fairy face painter…
